As we wrap up 2025, the Superior Enterprise Center is proud to reflect on a year defined by hands-on learning, entrepreneurial growth, and community connection. From workforce training and creative technology to small business support and collaborative spaces, this year demonstrated what’s possible when opportunity meets community commitment.

Workforce & Education Programs

In 2025, the Enterprise Center successfully completed four semesters of classes, serving approximately 64 students across five unique welding courses:

  • WLD 110

  • WLD 222

  • WLD 113

  • IRW 130

  • Introduction to Metal Arts

These programs emphasized real-world skills and practical application. Students didn’t just learn — they built.

Student projects included:

  • Construction of 12 welding bays

  • A large shade structure in front of the lab space

  • Decorative stanchions and posts for the Arboretum

  • Metal flowers for the Love Where You Live program, now installed along a stair path in Miami

  • A current installation in progress for the Trailhead at the Queen Creek segment of the LOST Trail

These projects leave a lasting mark on the community while giving students valuable, portfolio-ready experience.

A Place to Meet, Work & Collaborate

The Superior Enterprise Center continued to serve as a welcoming hub for meetings, workshops, and co-working. Whether supporting entrepreneurs, hosting partner organizations, or providing a quiet place to focus, the Center remains a shared resource for the region.

In partnership with Moonshot, the Enterprise Center hosted its first Pitch Event, welcoming 10 local entrepreneurs. The winning participant advanced to the state-level pitch event and, while not taking the top prize, earned an additional $1,000 award — a meaningful boost for a growing small business.

We also hosted an ASBA SCALE Event, connecting small business owners and entrepreneurs with valuable resources, support, and statewide networks.

The Hive at the Enterprise Center

In March 2025, we proudly opened The Hive, a creative technology and innovation space designed to expand access to tools, learning, and collaboration.

Since opening, The Hive has:

  • Welcomed an average of 44 visitors per week

  • Hosted government and private sector organizations from across Arizona

  • Served students traveling from as far as Hayden to access technology

  • Hosted 3 youth camps

  • Offered 17 community workshops, including:

    • Mix & Create Music with GarageBand

    • Intermediate Robotics

    • Introduction to Augmented Reality (AR)

    • Coding Basics with Swift Playgrounds

The Hive has quickly become a place where curiosity turns into capability — and where learning spans generations.

Looking Ahead

As we move into the new year, the Superior Enterprise Center remains committed to expanding opportunity, supporting entrepreneurs, and investing in people. Thank you to our students, partners, instructors, and community members who made 2025 such a meaningful year.

Together, we’re building more than programs — we’re building a stronger Superior.
