Innovation, entrepreneurship, and community spirit were on full display this week at the Superior Enterprise Center as local entrepreneurs from across the Copper Corridor gathered for the 2026 Moonshot Entrepreneurial Pitch Competition.

Hosted at the SEC on May 19, the event brought together ten entrepreneurs who stepped forward to pitch their businesses, share their stories, and compete for funding designed to help move their ideas forward. From baked goods and childcare services to outfitting and technology-driven concepts, the evening highlighted the growing creativity and entrepreneurial energy emerging throughout the region.

“We are so proud to see the Copper Corridor represented so well,” organizers shared following the event. “Each participant brought unique ideas, determination, and vision for the future of their businesses and communities.”

Supported through sponsorship from Resolution Copper, the competition awarded a total of $10,000 in prize funding to local business owners.

The atmosphere inside the SEC was filled with encouragement, support, and excitement as community members, mentors, and fellow entrepreneurs gathered to cheer on each participant. Events like this continue to demonstrate the importance of creating spaces where rural entrepreneurship can thrive and where innovative ideas can find support close to home.

Programs like Moonshot are helping strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem across the Copper Corridor by providing access to mentorship, funding opportunities, and community connections that empower small businesses to grow.

The Superior Enterprise Center is proud to support opportunities that encourage innovation, collaboration, and economic development in Superior and beyond.

“We are excited to see what these amazing entrepreneurs will accomplish next,” organizers said. “Their hard work and innovation are helping shape a strong future for the Copper Corridor.”

Congratulations to all ten participants for their hard work, courage, and dedication — and thank you to everyone who attended and supported this inspiring event.
