Introducing a New Era: Welding Lab Opens at the Multi-Gen Center

January marked yet another significant milestone for our community as we proudly inaugurated the Welding Lab at the Multi-Gen Center. On Jan. 16, 2024, the welding course offered through Central Arizona College saw an enthusiastic enrollment of ten local students, signaling a promising start to fostering skilled trades in Superior.

Local dignitaries and leaders convened for a momentous ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebratory gathering, commemorating the fruition of our collaborative efforts. This achievement stands as a testament to the power of partnerships cultivated over time, as we endeavor to revitalize access to essential job training programs in our town.

For the first time in 24 years, residents and students in Superior have regained access to specialized vocational training, thanks to the collective support and dedication of entities like Resolution Copper, Rebuild Superior Inc., Superior Enterprise Center, Central Arizona College, and Cobre Valley Institute of Technology.
